Expoworld is a private Canadian-based family office specializing in local and international public and private financial markets.

We transact on North American and International stock exchanges using proprietary investment models.

We provide public and private companies with strategic financing alternatives. We will provide funding to early stage venture companies and support them with go-public strategies and financing alternatives.

We have particular sector expertise in technology, renewables, green-power, lifestyle, plant-based alternatives, psychedelics, social conscience and other specialized industries.

Expoworld fully leverages its own capital base and does not invest on behalf of third parties.

Philosophy

ExpoWorld investment philosophy follows gestaltian principles: 1 + 1 + 1 can almost always yield a sum much greater than 3. We believe in bringing together very disparate sets of information and resources to form a connected view of the universe.

We are problem solvers. There is no situation to which we cannot find a way through, around, over or deep into. This is at the heart of how we create value for our investments and the stakeholders around them.

ExpoWorld allocates capital to seed rounds of early stage companies as strategic investor and can assist management teams in building prudent go-to market strategies and balanced capitalization tables that survive the test of time.

We work with only what we believe to be the highest quality emerging companies that have strong management teams and which we feel will benefit from strong traction in the publicly-listed aftermarkets.
We can assist management teams with all aspects of building proper go-public strategies including the following: long term capital structure planning and financing co-ordination; management team implementation; counsel, auditor and accountant selection; operational positioning; market communications (narrative development, public relations, investor relations, presentation decks); public listing vehicle selection (IPO/RTO, direct listing); and other after market trading determinations.

Our Founder

John Passalacqua is founder of ExpoWorld Ltd. He is an international business strategist with over 35 years of extensive capital markets experience. He has been a floor trader and electronic market maker on the Toronto Stock Exchange. He is inventor of a proprietary semi-human, semi-automated market making system of securities trading called Robocop Trader.

John was also a founding father of business-to-business portal websites and online marketing strategies during internet 1.0. As early as 1998, he had gained the title of top 50 international business strategists on the early internet and was an internationally profiled speaker.

John currently runs the ExpoWorld family office and is involved in public market planning for early stage companies in nascent and visionary industries. He provides neutral, out-of-the-box, big picture thinking, business guidance, personal c-suite coaching and capital formation strategy to entrepreneurs on go-public pursuits.

John is a strong advocate of the entrepreneur against all self-centred forces around innovation who might seek to take from the entrepreneur’s destiny. He thinks big and he thinks globally and speaks 6 international languages.
